SOCIETY FOR MATERIALS CHEMISTRY
The Society for Materials Chemistry (SMC) was established in 2007 following the successful organization of the 1st International Symposium on Materials Chemistry (ISMC-2000) at BARC, Mumbai and organized by the Chemistry Division, BARC. The SMC with its headquarter at the Chemistry Division, BARC is now a registered public trust, with more than 4,000 life members. The Society provides a common platform to young researchers and active scientists in the area of Materials Chemistry by arranging biennial symposia and National workshops. The 10th Interdisciplinary Symposium on Materials Chemistry (ISMC-2024) was held at BARC, Mumbai during 4-7, December, 2024. The 11th symposium in this series (ISMC-2026) is now being organised by Chemistry Division, BARC and SMC with the financial support from BRNS. Our sincere endeavor is to further strengthen and enrich the activities of SMC by organizing workshops and publishing newsletters, bulletins, and similar initiatives.
BOARD OF RESEARCH IN NUCLEAR SCIENCES
Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) supports research and development activity in universities, institutes of higher learning and national laboratories in the fields relevant to the mandate of Department of Atomic Energy. BRNS also supports symposia, conferences, seminars and workshops in various areas of science and technology.
